Pastor Lamont is nearly always listening to something or watching something to build up his faith, exercise his mind, and pass a little time. Here’s what he’s listened to in the past month.
Pastor’s note: Dr. Gene Edward Veith has brought the fundamentals of Lutheran Christianity to print before (“Spirituality of the Cross”, CPH) but in this six-part interview he lays out the foundations of Lutheran identity, which form our Christian faith and our unique place in the confession of Christ before the nations.
Jesus Is Enough (watch on YouTube)
Pastor’s note: This is an ongoing YouTube series that tells the stories of people who felt the weight of Mormonism in different ways until they were brought to the Christian faith. This is very well-produced, and from a source that I trust a lot. Some of these may bless friends or neighbors you know, after you’ve watched a few yourself!
Pastor’s note: There is also a great audio version of the Lutheran Book of Concord on Audible, but the free Librivox recording made by Pr. Jonathan Lange is really great at the price of free! This is a great way to hear some of what Lutherans believe, teach, and confess, and perhaps look forward to a class on the subject some day!
