Why should I choose Grace Lutheran School for my three-year-old?
Grace Lutheran School has proudly served local families for four decades, delivering a comprehensive early childhood experience. Our three-year-old program is carefully designed to foster your child’s cognitive, physical, and social-emotional milestones. Above all, we cultivate a warm, Christian setting that focuses on the core truth that God made everything, and Jesus died and rose for us.
What will my child learn in class?
We focus on building early literacy by helping kids speak in three- to four-word sentences and answer “who,” “what,” and “where” questions. We also introduce pre-math skills like sorting by shape and color, counting to 10 with guidance, and creating simple patterns.
What kind of physical activities do they do?
Our active play includes jumping off low steps, practicing kicking and throwing with better aim, and starting to pedal tricycles. We also work on fine motor skills like stringing large beads, snipping with scissors, and developing a three fingered pencil grasp.
How do you help them socialize and gain independence?
We encourage cooperative play and gently guide them in sharing and taking turns. Children also learn to take care of themselves by practicing independent handwashing, putting on simple clothing, and taking responsibility for their own cubby.
How is faith taught to the three-year-olds?
We teach that God made everything and Jesus died and rose for them. They learn to view the Commandments as loving guidance for sharing and listening. We also read engaging Bible stories that show Jesus seeking and saving people, like the stories of Zacchaeus and the Good Samaritan.
