Preschool: Age 3 Curriculum

Physical Development

  • Motor Skills: Jumping off steps, improved throwing/kicking, and pedaling tricycles.
  • Coordination: Emerging tripod grasp, snipping with scissors, and stringing beads.

Language & Literacy

  • Communication: Speaking in 3–4 word sentences and answering basic questions.
  • Early Reading: Recognizing letters in their name and retelling stories via pictures.

Cognitive & Math

  • Logic: Sorting by shape/color and creating simple AB patterns.
  • Numeracy: Counting to 10 and matching numerals to small sets (0–5).

Social & Self-Help

  • Interaction: Developing cooperative play, sharing, and basic conflict resolution.
  • Independence: Independent handwashing and managing personal cubbies.

Faith & Discipleship

  • Core Truth: Jesus died and rose for me.
  • Prayer: Memorizing parts of the Lord’s Prayer and participating in chapel.
  • Foundations: Learning about Baptism, the Lord’s Supper, and the 10 Commandments.
